Israel-Palestinian final position talks start Monday (Reuters)
RAMALLAH (Reuters) - Senior Israeli and Palestinian
negotiants will open dialogue on Monday on the most sensitive
issues such as the future of
Jerusalem
as part of a U.S.-led
push for a serenity deal this twelvemonth, officials emphasised.
Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas told his chief
negotiant, Ahmed Qurei, and Israeli Foreign Minister Tzipi
Livni would lead the treatments on critical issues that they
hope will lead to the shaping of a Palestinian state.
Israeli strange ministry spokesman Aryeh Mekel confirmed
the dialogue would begin on Monday in Jerusalem.
